WR 7U is headed to the beach--well, almost--this weekend. The weekend tournament schedule takes the team to Wilmington, where they will play in an all-machine pitch tournament. Even better, the first team Blue will face is a fellow seven-year-old team, the first such competition of the summer. WR 8U Blue will also be at the same tournament, and there's a chance the two squads could face each other on Sunday.
The game schedule for Saturday is available online. If you checked it earlier on Thursday, you'll want to look again. 7U was originally scheduled for some early morning games on Saturday, but Coach Sean made them an offer they couldn't refuse, and now both Blue games are in the afternoon, which will make Saturday travel a little easier.
